Force Calibration Live Webinar

How to help your customers by providing better force measurements

February 6, 2020; 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM Eastern Time Zone

Anyone who attends this webinar should leave with a greater understanding of why large errors exist as most labs are not following what is presented in this webinar. They should be able to understand what is needed to provide their customers with better force measurements as chances are they have large error sources that are going unnoticed.

Learning Objectives:

  • Asking the right questions - We will cover questions relating to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements as well as the appropriate questions to ask in regards to force measuring devices. the webinar will cover the important questions to ask that are often overlooked and make the biggest impact on measurement results.
  • The Importance of adapters - We will cover the misuse of adapters and why it is so important to use the correct adapters. Errors from not using the proper adapters can result in very large measurement errors.
  • The right equipment - All force equipment should be designed to keep the vertical line of force as pure as possible. We will cover what it means to have equipment that is plumb, level, square, rigid, and free of torsion
  • The right calibration provider - The primary focus here is going to be on decision rules and whether the calibration provider can make a statement of conformity as required per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 sections 7.1.3 & 7&8.3.1. Meaning we will answer the question of Does your calibration provider have uncertainties low enough to calibrate your equipment?

Mini High Capacity Multi Column Load Cells

lightweight, compact compression-only load cells

lightweight, compact compression-only load cells

  • Ideal for applications where more compact load cells are required The load cell and top adapter are under 5 inches tall.
  • Lightweight as the 100k compression load cell weighs less than 8 lbs (3.63 kgs), which makes the load cell easier to travel with and cheaper to ship.
  • Accurate to better than 0.01 % of full scale when calibrated following the ASTM E74 standard
  • Able to calibrate to ASTM E4 with an ASTM Class A verified range of forces better than 4 % of capacity
  • ISO 376 Class 0.5
  • Primary deadweight calibration which is the most accurate calibration available
  • Economical Solution when compared against other load cells of the same capacities (Typically much less than half the cost of other load cells)
  • Highly stable indicator options
  • Multiple cells can be used with Morehouse software for various applications.
  • Applications where more compact load cells are required
  • ISO 376 standard meeting Class 1 requirements
  • To calibrate to ASTM E4 with an ASTM Class A verified range of forces of better than 8 % or better of capacity.
  •   Saves on transportation and extra baggage check-in costs
  • Lightweight and efficient to carry
  • Ideal for masonry machines where height is a concern (12 inches or less) as the masonry head should be kept in the machine for calibration

High Capacity Multi Column Load Cells

  •  Applications where more compact load cells are required
  •  Applications where side load sensitivity is critical
  • Reference standard used to calibrate other load cells
  • ISO 376 standard meeting class 0.5 requirements
  • To calibrate to ASTM E4 with an ASTM Class A verified range of forces better than 8 % or better of capacity.
  • Less standards to maintain will significantly lower lifetime ownership cost
